Qualified? - I hope so!

As you already know I applied for a job as policeman. I got invited for the first qualifying round (out of 3) which took place today at the police school in Großgmain. It was a written test including grammar, spelling, logical thinking, a little bit of mathematics and some test of your memory.
It took 4 hours and was really tough, so I really can’t say if I’ll qualify for the next round (testing your physical abilities). According to the police officer the total number of applicants is somewhere around 500. About 20 will be taken.

Now to something other:

The new James Bond movie is since one week and of course I have already seen it. A lot of things have been said before its start in the cinemas due to the new guy performing as Bond – Daniel Craig. Many people did not believe that this british guy could do well and he was even called names. So, what is my impression after watching “Casino Royal”?:

The movie itself is a little bit “back to the roots” in my opinion. This means less unbelievable gadgets like this stealth-car in “Die another day” for example, but instead more fights man versus man. The film also showed that Bond is not invincible (he got poisoned and would have died without the help of Vesper Lynn). All at all I think “Casino Royal” is a good Bond-movie. I just felt a little bit confused one time during sitting in the cinema. Why is Felix Leiter black and not white like in the former films?

Now some words about Daniel Craig. In my opinion he did very well as 007. The fact that he has blue eyes and blond hair is not important for this role. Why shouldn’t Bond be this type of man?

Sorry for mistakes!

4 more months in the army

Hi folks, here I am again and guess - nothing really special happend since my last post. Live is quite unspectacular at the moment. Maybe the worst thing was last Saturday when I had to spend the whole day in Pinzgau for playing at 2 events with the military music. There were rain showers and cold temperatures which caused that I almost couldn't feel my thumb anymore (which is very important for playing clarinet). Because of this duty I couldn't run the annual Venice O-Event.

On December 2nd 14 months of military service are over. All guys (expect 8 of us - including me) will drop out. I instead signed a contract for 4 more months (till April 2nd). You probably think: God damn, are you crazy??? No, I'm not. There are 2 reasons for this decision:

  1. I want to become a policeman, but there was no course starting in december or january. Signing this contract means 4 more months of sallery and insurance for doing something I like.
  2. in 2 weeks the new musicians will come. So me and the other guys will have it really smooth *g*

In 2 days the HBLA-Ball takes place in Neumarkt. Let's check out the ladies!
